Update | inexpensive skin care for clear skin

Since I started this little blog of mine a few years ago, I have done more than a few different skin care routines. The only problem was that they all seemed to be based around high end products. Which present day self can no longer afford (due to house moving and such!) So I thought I would switch it up and try a few less expensive goodies that were easily accessible and low in price. Surprisingly, I'm pretty over the moon with the wonders this concoction has done to my skin. My cheeks are no longer overly pigmented, I have no break outs and there isn't a dry patch of skin in sight! (Which is shocking as it is -1 here in England and usually my skin would go crazy!) So, let's get onto all my lotions and potions!

Evening -

Once I get home from a long day at work there is no better feeling than taking off all that makeup I've been wearing though out the day! So I start off with a few cotton pads soaked in my Garnier Micellar water and in circling motions, I removed most of my eye and face makeup. I usually end up using three cotton pads, two for each of my eyes and one for my face and neck. (RRP: £3.33)

Moving onto cleanser, in the evening I like to wind down with a cream cleanser that will clean my skin but won't wake me up with a strong scent. I've been loving the No7 Beautiful skin cleansing balm and a muslin cloth to remove any left over makeup, dirt and grime. (RRP: £9.50)

Next is a new step I've added into my routine, toner. I never thought I would be a toner lover due to my dry skin, but oh man was I so wrong. Toners can come in many varieties to suit all sorts of skin types, it's a great way to rebalance your ph levels in your skin and really prep your face ready for moisturising. You may just have to keep your eyes peeled for a dry skin one though, as they seem to be like gold dust. (If you are on the hunt for one, look out for rose oil in the ingredients, this usually is targeted for us dry skin folk) Happily for me I found one in the shape of a Glossybox goodie. The Kueshi pure and clean facial toner. (RRP: £6.00)

A few times a week I like to give my new skin cells some life with a lovely scrub. The one I've been obsessed with is the Body Shop tea tree scrub, it has very tiny vigarating beads which really get in there and remove all of that dead skin. It has a really revitalising scent which helps you to wake up in the morning which is a bonus! (RRP: £6.50)

Moving onto face masks, as we all know I am the number one fan of Montagne Jeunesse, all of their masks are to dye for and at £1.00 each there really isn't anything to complain about!

Moisturises can be tricky at night, as you want them to be light enough to sink in but heavy enough to actually help your skin out. I've been really enjoying the Garnier moisture match for dry to very dry skin, it really replenishes the moisture in my face and leaves it feeling velvety soft the morning after. (RRP: £3.99)

Treatments -
I like to finish off my routine with a thirst quenching eye cream, which I've been using for around 2 years, it is the Simple radiance brightening eye cream, it makes fine lines disappear and brightens up my eyes by removing the dark circles. If a sudden rouge spot pops up, I love the zap! zap! zap! gets that chap spot treatment by Anatomicals. I can easily get rid of it in 12 hours or less with this duo day and night spot treatment, it's a life saver. (RRP: £3.89) Lastly I top it all off with a moisturising lip balm. I usually use any that I can get my mitts on, but lately I've been drawing more towards the Superfruits naked lips to keep my smackers plumped up. It doesn't have an offensive smell like most others and I can really feel it sink in. (RRP: £3.78)

Morning -
As I am neither an early riser nor a night owl, getting up in the morning is a pain in itself. So I like to keep my getting ready time as short as possible to get optimum lie in time. So I usually wipe my face round with some of my Micellar water to wake me up and moisturise with the Garnier moisture match for normal skin to prep my face ready for makeup. (RRP: £3.99) Because who would chose 10 minutes of skin care over 10 minutes extra in bed? Not me that's for sure!

So as a grand total my skin care routine comes to...

£42.07!

Not too bad considering it used to be over £100! So it costs you just over £40 to have smooth beautiful looking skin! As you know I'm always on the look out for new goodies to try, so if you have any suggestions please leave them below!

Hope you enjoyed!

Hello 2015 | Happy new year!

So it's come to the end of another great year and it's time to reflect on the good, the bad and the ugly of 2014. For me, this was the year I met my boyfriend and I moved to another county just for him. It's also the year I accepted the job offer of my dreams, working with big name designer brands such as Vivian Westwood, Ance studios and Loubouton. And it's been the year where I lost a few friends on the way to where I am now.

Lastly, it was the year I conquered my depression. I am happier now than I ever have been and I want to thank a few close people to help me get where I am today. My mum, Nikki who's been there since day one. My mother in law, Sue who has accepted me with open arms into her family, and finally my rock, my everything, Liam, the guy I kiss goodnight too and who I first person I see every morning.

It was a great year, I'm not going to lie. But if it wasn't great for you, make 2015 your year. Make it the year you make that change and go to that job interview that seems out of your reach or talk to that person who you've been crushing on forever. Take a chance, take the leap that will push you to be the person you've dreamed of being!

So, 2015, were going to make it a great one! My goals for the year ahead are big but do-able. I want to live in my own place and call it 'home'. I want to start my YouTube again from scratch and make it my own. And lastly I want a Apple Mac... (A girl can dream right!!?)

So enjoy the last moments of this year whether you will make a toast to an amazing year or put your middle finger up to the sky and tell the world "F you 2014, 2015 is MY year!!!" And make it yours! Personally I am spending the night in a bubble bath planning the year ahead and enjoying the subtle sounds of the fire works out side! But if you are out drinking the night away, make sure to stay safe and HAVE FUN!!

Happy new year everyone,
See you next year!

Bath tub hair washing | Routine

When it comes to choosing between showering and washing my hair or a relaxing soak in the bath, the choice can be difficult to make! Especially when it's gotten to the point that 4th day hair isn't acceptable but you need to soak away the day you've had!

So I have found the best way to combine the two while still being comfortable and able to have silky shiny hair too.

I start off my running some hot water to about half way up the tub and then cool it down to a point where it is still hot to the touch but not so hot that it will scaled you head, like a normal bath would. I then take the best 'hair washing bath product' to plop into the bath and it is the Lush Ickle baby bot bath ballistic(RRP: £1.95 each). It's a great bath bomb that makes you feel like your having a luxurious bath but also won't mess your hair condition up when you dunk the back of your head in.

You then want to proceed with your normal hair routine with wetting your hair down, shampooing and conditioning ect but then rinsing it in the bath water, and don't worry, your hair won't get greasy even if your rinsing it in the same water each time.

So that's it, pretty simple, I think the best tips I can give you is use the Ickle baby bot bomb and keep your water at about half way point up the bath so when you Submerge your body, the bath water won't go tipping over the edge. Also this is a great bath routine for children too, as the bath bomb is sensitive enough to use on baby's!

Hope you enjoyed! Ps, DIY coming up next week and it's Christmas themed! Stay tuned!

My top 5 Autumn lipsticks

Since the autumn has finally decided to show, I've been really enjoying a more vampy look to the lips with dark reds, plums and even hot pinks. In my top picks I have a mix of both high street and high end so you have the pick of the lot! So let's get on with these fabulous lippies.

First up is the Boujios Paris rouge edition velvet in the shade 05 Olé Flamingo! It's a bright hot pink that gets many double takes, it is a matte formula but nothing drying. It really leaves your lips feeling like velvet (as the name suggests) and like you have nothing on your lips, so a big thumbs up from me! RRP: £8.00

Next I have one of my all time favourite MAC lipsticks that was featured in my recent September favourites. Milan mode, as I described on that post, it's a beautiful rosy shade with little flex of micro glitter to give it that little extra oomph! RRP: £15.00

One of my much cheaper picks next is the Natural Collection in Cherry red that I did a whole blog post on as its my ultimate red lippy, it's has a lovely moisturising formula but nothing over the top that makes it slip and slide about everywhere and at a retail price of £1.99 it is an absolute bargain!

Suprise, surprise I have another MAC lipstick but don't worry this shade is much different from my Milan Mode it's a much darker matte vampy shade perfect for the dare devils out there like me, this one is called Diva, it's a cult favourite in the beauty community and a must for fall.

Last bus not least I have my Rimmel London Kate Moss lipstick in 107, a Zoella favourite! It's a lovely dark red shade that stays on your lips all day and it's surprisingly lovely smelling. RRP: £7.99

Hope you enjoyed these autumn posts lately.

September favourites 2014

So September has been and gone, the leaves are slowly starting to fall and the weather is slowly creeping down the thermometer. Since its been colder, I've really enjoyed thicker more luxurious skin care, and autumn tones on my eyes, as you will soon see. So on to my favourites for September.

I have first off been really enjoying the Sanctuary Spa night concentrate that I featured in my nightly skin care routine, this beautiful thick serum like cream sinks into your skin beautifully and I wake up with hydrated plumped face that makes me feel like all my troubles have melted away, a lovely moisturiser that every gal with normal to dry skin should pick up, and at £2.50 a bottle you really can't go wrong.

Onto hair care, as I only was my hair twice a week, to keep my oils up, I love using the Batiste dry shampoo in Blush in the awkward in between days. It makes my hair feel freshly washed and the White cast just sinks in beautifully to my bleached do and leaves it smelling beautiful and looking healthy and shiny.

My all time favourite lip transition shade for autumn is this one from MAC it's called Milan Mode and its a Lustre finish which leaves a nice sheer glow with a subtle glitter undertone which makes this rosy lipstick, beautiful!

Onto another MAC product, I've recently purchased the empty quads which I filled with my existing shades that use especially in the autumn. Crystal Avalanche is a beautiful Snow White shimmer shade, Passionate is a lovely matte rosy colour that goes lovely with the lipstick. Beauty marked is a cult favourite, a dark brown shadow with flex of purple and pink glitter which looks beautiful blended into the outer v. Creme de Violet is a lovely little shimmery purple with muti-tonal glitter thrown in!

Another skin care item I've been really enjoying is a sample pot of the Balance Me cleanse and smooth face balm which is a lovely wake-me-up cleanser with little beads of goodness to get rid of the morning blues, ie morning dry skin! I shall definitely be buying the full size as soon as I run out!

And last but not least I have a beautiful mascara to share, it is the Barry M Showgirl volume mascara. It's a very lengthening and volumising mascara with a natural bristle wand that really grips the lashes and holds the curl for the whole day long, it doesn't seem to smudge on me and it doesn't flake off so it's a win win for me!

Hope you all enjoyed my September favourites!

Budget Beauty - Ciaté London Haute house 'Rich Ink Formula'

Over the past couple of months, since the weather has cooled down and autumn has most definitely settled it, I have noticed all of the well known beauty bloggers such as VDM rocking metallic 'ink' nail polishes. Once I found out they were all from the same Ciaté collection, I just had to get it.

(Coloured from left to right are: Sass Pot, Knee Highs, For the frill of it, Tickly my fancy and Can Can.)

Browsing online I found the Haute House collection at around the £25 mark, which I can understand as it is such a high quality, well known brand as Ciaté. So my mind was made up, on pay day I was going to splurge on the 'Rich Ink Formula' set. Until I decided to pop into TKMaxx, and low and behold did I spy with my little eye, at the back of the nail polish rack did I find the Haute House collections! And not just that, they had both the Rich Ink Formula and last summers Doll House right down to a tiny £6.99! Now you can't beat that bargain, so of course I swooped up that offer as fast as I could. And I shall be purchasing the Doll house collection when it comes to pay day!

So go down to your local TKMaxx and you might be surprised to see what you find.

Hope you enjoyed this budget beauty post.

Treacle Moon 'The Candy Jar' product review

With my obsession on all soaps and bath goodies on an all time high, finding a new, cheap, and not to mention adorably named bath and shower gels always makes me happy.

About the brand:
Treacle moon is a bath and body brand that started back in 2007 and since then has skyrocketed its popularity in the blogging world and with its cute label design and beautiful scents I can understand why. It's a company that has never tested on animals and is vegetarian friendly (meaning it doesn't contain any animal derived ingredients and no you can't eat it my lovely veggie readers!) it also has it's own charity that helps the disadvantage family's in a small town called Khandel in Rajastan, India. Since starting the charity they have made a pledge to help 60 children annually and focusing on supporting long-term development projects which helps them gain access to clean water, sanitation, better healthcare, education and housing. Which gives them a huge thumbs up from me!

With all the boring stuff out of the way, let's get onto the good stuff, the scents they make and what I think of them! In this 'The Candy Jar' range there are 4 different bath and shower gels, Original toffee Bon Bon, Marshmallow hearts, Ice cream soda and Sweet lime sherbet. My favourite being the marshmallow moments which is a great transition scent from summer to autumn. Unfortunately unlike the original shower and bath gels from Treacle Moon none of them have matching body butters, scrubs or hand washes, which is a little sad but either way they are great body washes as obviously they convert to a bubble bath as well, and at a retail price of £2.99 at your local Tesco supermarket you really can't go wrong!

Onto the quality of the product, the silkiness of the gel smooths onto the skin like butter and leaves your skin feeling so soft and surprisingly moisturised! Considering at the moment all of the Treacle Moon products are 20% off at Tesco, you have yourself a winner with a 500ml bottle that will last you a very long time considering a little goes a long way if you lather it up in a loofa.

I hope you enjoyed this quite long in depth review and just as quick disclaimer, the Treacle Moon company is not in any way sponsoring me, all opinions are my own and all products mentioned were bought with my own money.

Top 5 candle scents | Autumn/Fall

It's come round to the time of year when it's starting to cool down, the leaves are turning brown and there is a definate smell of bon fires in the air. Since I can now whip out my favourite cardigans it's the perfect time to clean my room and make it smell all warm and cosy with my Yankee candle autumn scents.

Wild Fig - Probably the fruitiest fragrances in my autumn collection but it still has that slight hint of spice which makes it a great transition scent from summer to autumn!

Amber Moon - A definate night time fragrance with a undertone of jasmine and a lot of spices makes this a sexy tart perfect for the Halloween time.

Vanilla Chai - Who doesn't love the smell of spicy coffee in the afternoon? This fragrant tart is perfectly paired with a large mug of coffee and a good book!

Honey Glow - Again another sensual scent with lots of aroma therapy oils making a slight hint of that spa feeling.

Spiced Orange - A lovely clover scent to get you in the mood for Christmas, a great transition between autumn and winter, making you feel all warm and cosy inside.

The wax tarts from Yankee Candle are the best as you change them up whenever you want and there is such a huge range of them the value at a retail price of around £0.99 - £1.20 depending if they are the scent of the month or not. Or probably just as cheep on eBay if your struggling to find these near you! A cheap buy for a beautiful smelling room!

Hope you enjoyed!

First impressions | New Maybelline baby skin; Instant fatigue blur

So funnily enough I was in boots again and I was browsing through the makeup isle and again suprise wondering what I should purchase when I came accross the new Maybelline baby skin instant fatigue blur, now I've always been intrigued with primers such as the 'porefessional' by benefit and the original baby skin, but I always felt they were mainly targeted for people with oily skin, so naturally I stayed away. But you can imagine my curiosity when I came across this beauty!

At a price of £5.99, the same as the origional baby skin I couldn't leave up on that offer. My first thought is that it has beautiful pastel packaging and a lovely pinky tone to the actual product. Blending it into the skin made it feel very similar to the original but less silicon-y and easily blendable, which I'm super happy about. I guess only time will tell if I like this or not, but so far I have high hopes!

Buy here for £5.99 or at your local Maybelline counter.

Thanks for reading,

Manicure Mondays | Simple Summer

Sometimes just a simple bold colour is enough to get me in the mood for summer, lately I have pushed my pastels aside and gone for more bright bold colours that just make my nails look healthy and glossy. One of my current fave polishes is the Sally Hanson salon complete manicure in Shrimply Devine 520 (rough name) beautiful colour. It's a very bright almost neon medium pink with red undertones. Two coats of this bad boy, and it's completely opaque, you could even get away with one! As usual I applied my amazing top coat Save the nail by Nails inc wet look top coat as my sealer and it's usually doesn't start to chip for a good week and a half! Not only that but it has beaten Seche Viet as my #1 top coat!

I love the bright and glossy combo of this, and it's deffinatly a colour I will be wearing a lot more until autumn arrives and I can rock out my dark shades!

I AM A PRODUCT HOARDER!!!

So, it's only just creeped up on me how long it's been since I've posted and how long it's been since I've cleansed my hair and body care collection. Over the past year or so my little collection has grown into rather a large one that I'm not proud of. Many of the bottles are unused, unloved and out of date. It's about time I spring cleaned and make my a product aura much clearer! Let's go!

Before ~

SO MUCH CAIOS!!! ('Your aura is pulsing my dear, are you in the beyond? I think you are!!!!'*) So much old, unused things that needed a good clear out! I made a keep and chuck pile and threw out all of the things that I really didn't need.

Goodbye old yucky ness, you won't be missed! All the stuff I decided to chuck were either, out of date or empty. If I had anything that was still in date and not empty I would of given it away, but as I did not, into the rubbish it goes!

After ~

I've condensed my collection completely down to the bare essentials, and I refuse to buy anything until I've run out of said product! I love the feeling of my drawers beeing clean and organised. My aura feels clear. Time to tackle my makeup collection...

Post soon!

Warmer weather body care

Now that spring is finally in full force it's time to ditch the beanies and pull out the sunnies! A lot of people seem to forget about their body care during the warmer months due to the fact their skin is less dry then it was during winter, but nether the less, skin needs moisture and pampering 24/7, remember that guys and gals!

Although it's a little too warm for balms and creams it's starting to become perfect weather for lotions and moisturizing mists, so I have a few that I adore that arn't sticky and they all easily sink into the skin!

Soap and glory girly go moisture mist buy here!
This beautifully scented mist is a simple way to pamper your skin without walking around like a zombie for half an hour waiting for it to sink in! As the formula is so thin and runny it comes out in a spray bottle and one swipe of the skin and it's completely sunken in! Handy for traveling and on the go!

The body shop raspberry skin care range buy here!
A new range of body product launches are always exciting when it comes to the body shop, but when I smelt the new raspberry scent I was hooked! This range only came out yesterday so it's brand new, smells devine and pretty cheap for great feeling skin!

Vaseline spray and go in aloe buy here!
If your not a big fan of very smelly body products but still want something caring and gentle on your skin for spring and summer, I really recommend the spray and go range from Vaseline. It has the same concept as the Soap and glory product but with a less powerful scent and is much better for more sensitive skin as it has more of a moosy texture!

Hope you enjoyed today's post! Make sure you remember your skin care, it needs love too!

My spring/summer handbag essentials!

Now that the weather is warming up as we enter spring full steam ahead I thought it was long over due for me to have a good clean out of my winter Zara bucket bag, and switch it up with something a little lighter and more tasteful for the warmer weather.

I bought this little cutie a while back from Primark, I'm not a huge lover of their goods due to the fact the quality of their items are pretty pore. But to my supprise this bag has been in perfect condition for over a year now! I guess it's a guessing game when it comes to primark stock!

My first essential is obviously my purse, the one I adore using that I get lots of compliments on when I wack it out is my River Island holographic large wallet. I'm a large purse fan just because I like to keep all my recipts and cards with me at all times, this beauty has lots of different compartments for all your money essentials! And of course it's skinny enough to fit perfectly in my bag.

I next bring my Next tortoiseshell sunglasses, these are my go to sunnies that I love so so much as they fit the shape of my face perfectly and they are big enough to block the sun from my eyes!

Next I usually being a bottle of water with my due to the fact I'm a bit of a heath freak and love having and drinking cold water.

Lastly I bring a mini makeup bag with me just to fit all my necessities in including the lipstick I'm wearing that day, hand cream and plasters, those sort of things.

I hope you enjoyed this mini blog post! I don't take a whole lot of things with me only due to the fact I don't want my bag to get overly heavy! Post soon!

What are your S/s hand bag essentials?

Winter: Current favorite eye products

Following on from fridays post I don't have that many winter eye products but I do have a few I want to show you because I believe these are the cream of the crops!

1 - Revlon lash potion. I'm pretty sure the majority of beauty bloggers rave about this beautiful mascara because, well it is a damn good product I usually apply a light coat of Lo'real volume million lashes in Black just to prime my lashes and lengthen them as the Lash potion is adds more of volume than length! But either way it's a top notch mascara. Price of this is £13.00.

2 - Mac eyeshadow in Woodwinked. Recently featured on my YouTube channel this beautiful satin eyeshadow is a staple in my everyday makeup bag because you can just a wash all over the lid for a lovely put together look. Price of this is £15.00.

3 - Benefit They're real mascara. A higher end mascara that works superbly with the Revlon lash potion over the top, although it's not as volumous as the lash potion it's still rather volumous and really worth the money. Price is £19.50.

Hope you enjoyed this little segment that will be returning each season! Post on Monday!

Winter: Current favourite lip products

This is a shiny and new seasonal posts containing my current favorite products and today I'm starting with lip products! Quite a veriety of brands and prices, obviously as it's the middle of winter the majority of these are very moisturizing and nourishing.

- Mac matte lipstick in Diva. As usual I'm am contradicting myself by showing a matte product that has no moisturizing or nourishing benefits in it, although matte lips are usually ment for the warmer weather but lately I've been going back to this beautiful purple toned lipstick as the colour just makes any makeup look, look put together. At a heafty price of £15.00 I try to use it as sparingly as possible.

- Revlon lipstick in Adorned. A lovely hot pink lipstick the is as pigmented as any high end brand but obviously at a fraction of the price. The texure of all the Revlon lipglosses feel more like a balm and they don't have that horrible sticky feeling that most drugstore lipglosses do. The price of these? £7.99 pretty good for a high quality gloss I'd say!

- Maybelline baby lips. Everyone and their mum knows about these bad boys, and I don't blame them they are beautiful lip balms with quite a good colour pay off supprisingly for their low price! My favorite colour? Cherry me, a gorgeous red tinted balm that stains your lips a natural red colour. The price £2.99

I hope you enjoyed this little post tomorrow I will write about my favorite eye products! And I will be doing this for each season!

Anxiety & Depression; dealing with public transport.

This subject really hits home to me because this time last year I got diagnosed with depression and sevier anxiety so for the past year I really didn't think it would be able to even step foot into a train or a bus again just because there's something about traveling on any sort of public transport that makes me very nervous. I guess it's just the fact that  leaving the house on your own is a independent thing to do even if you are 19 years old and have done it many times... It's almost as if you have to somehow regain your confidence so today I faced my fear and traveled on both a bus and a train. My experience? It went much better than I antisapated so here are my tips if you are a fellow sufferer.

1 - keep calm, cool and collected. Whether your on a train or a bus you need to act quite mellow, you don't want to start having a panic attack and drawing attention to yourself.

2 - try and find a seat that you can sit by youself. If you happen to be on a two seater try to bring a large handbag with you that can suclude you from the crowd

3 - have your closest parent or other half on speed dial. Personally for me bus journeys make me the most anxious so speaking to a close friend while I'm having a panic attack really calms my nerves.

I hope this short little blog post helped even one person suffering out there, just remember your not alone in this, if you want to contact me I'm more than happy to help you. My links are in the discription box.

Review; Maybelline 24h colour tattoos

So as you may of noticed from yesterday's post my hair dye review didn't turn out as well as I wanted it to, so instead I thought I would do a review of one of my all time favorite products Maybelline 24h colour tattoos. I have a total of 6 in my collection (all bought with my own money) but I do believe they have a range of 8 different colours, give or take one or two. They retail at a price of £4.99 and they are very comparable to the Mac paint pots. The colour tattoos are a gel consistency so can be used as an eyeshadow or an eyeliner, as you can tell by the above photo they are very opaque and are very long lasting. I don't believe they are as long lasting as the 24 hours they claim to be but I have worn them for more than 9 hours before and they have stayed in place and not creased which is a plus. Onto the colours and my thoughts on them. (Starting from left to right)

- Metallic Pomegranite. This beautiful shimmering burgundy shade is a fab colour for the autumn/winter time either worn on its own or under eye shadows as a primer.

- Everlasting Navy. This is a colour that I save for special occasions only due to the fact that it's very hard to wear daily as it's rather dark for any day time look.

- Permanent Taupe. This is the only matte shade in my collection and the only matte shade in the full range, a pretty, opaque grey colour is very hard to wear and does make your eyes look a little tired only because it is matte but used as an eyeliner it really brightens up the last line.

- Eternal Gold. This is a beautiful gold shade as the name suggests, that makes your eyes sparkle on a special occasion.

- Pink Gold. Again this is one of my favorite colours as it's really easy to pull off on any eye colour and really holds any eyeshades.

- On and on Bronze. This is a cult beauty favorite including one of my own, it really makes it look like you have put a lot of effort into your makeup if you where this alone of with other eyeshadows. Deffinatly my most used shades.

All in all I love the colour tattoos and their great value for money. The majority of the shades are pretty wearable but there are a few bright exceptions that only the daring ones will wear! If your wanting to try the mac paint pots then I would highly recommend these first as they are very similar all round.

What do you think of the Maybelline colour tattoos?

My pamper day essentials!

When it comes to pampering myself, I am the queen of making myself feel relaxed and rejuvenated. I usually allow myself around three to four days out of the month to take as pamper days! (Usually once a week... Whoops!

Now we all know that pamper days at the spa can get very expensive very quickly, so why not do it yourself at home for a quater of the price, in a familliar environment and just as calming as you would experience in a salon.

Here are my tips and products I use for a soothing day at home!

- Run yourself a bubbly, hot bath; I enjoy using the Niels Yard Seaweed & Arnica Foaming Bath oil. This product is beautifully scented with the fragrence of seaweed and menthol reminding you of the seaside. It's so hydrating for your skin and due to the aromatherapy like scents in this genius bottle it really relaxes your muscles getting you ready either for bed or a non stressful day!

Making sure your all lovely and smooth for your fabulous day ahead, I adore the Lush Rub Rub Rub body scrub as it removes all the horrible dead skin revealing beautiful soft skin underneath, the menthol fragrence in this reminds me of the ocean once again and it's perfect pared with the bath oil.

A great way to hydrate you face during a steamy bath is to use either a sheet mask or a cream mask. One of my favorites to use is the No7 Beautiful Skin Hydrating mask for dry to very dry skin. This creamy pot of luxury will make you feel like a goddess with baby smooth skin (honest!!)

- Moisturize everywhere, post bath I really take pleasure in completing my routine by plumping my skin with a bit more moisture. For the majority of my body my skin just drinks up the Bath and Body works Twilight Wood body lotion, a musky scented lotion that I lather myself with. Unfortunately for my UK readers this lotion is only available in the US or on eBay, so have a ponder around online and you might just find it.

To hydrate my face after a relaxing bath I love the Biotherm Blue Therapy serium-in-oil (night). Due to my ghastly dry skin I have to make sure I endeavour the best of the best oils/seriums (especially in the middle of winter) So this beauty has been my knight in shining armour and my saviour from my horrendous dry skin!

Lastly (again due to the weather) I have to take extra care of my hands as they get cracked and sore easily especially when it's cold and windy so I love The Body shop Almond hand creme. As it thankfully does what it says on the tin, I now don't have to suffer from cracked and bleeding knuckles! (Hooray!!!)

- Have a good book and nice cuppa! To finish off my pamper day I really enjoy cosying it up in front of an open fire with a good book and a hot cup of tea. My choice for today? One of my all time favourite teas Knightsbridge green tea with lemon, this box of heaven is my go-to tea when I'm feeling a tad stressed or a bit down. The herbal in this calms my stress and the lemon really does a good job of refreshing me when I need a little pick me up!

This book is one of my all time loves to just flick through and admire, 'Things a woman should know about style' by Karen Homer. It's a great beauty if your wanting something you don't have to give a whole lot of concentration with. But if your more of a reader i really recommend 'The secret' by Rhonda Bynes, this book is a great read and really gives a whole new perspective on life especially if your feeling down!

So that's all my pamper day essentials, obviously I switch it all up now and then and maybe in the future I'll do an updated version but for now these products and items that I find works best for me!

What are your pamper day necessities?

Update & Week In Pictures // #3

Hello my beauties!!

It has been a wee while since I blogged! (shocking I know) and if you've been following me on my twitter then you will know why, if you don't then ill give you a little heads up on whats been happening in the past month in the world of Dannie!

Firstly surprising to hear I finally found a job, which is the main reason why I've been so MIA these past weeks. I wont go into too much detail as I don't want everyone and their mum knowing where im located! haha. But I will say Im basically in an office job (boreeee) and yep it may not be the best job in the world but I needed one desperately as Im at that awkward age where I don't get child support as Im not a classed as a 'child' anymore and Im not old enough to claim benefits as Im not classed as an 'adult' either.. So im neither a child nor an adult, fantastic, So I am a nothing. Anyway I guess Im glad I got a job because when i turn 18 I didn't really want to turn to benefits, its just not the sort of thing I would want to do. So Im in it for the money on this one! Hopefully my beauty/makeup career kicks in soon because as you all know that is my real passion. I have been working 6 days a week and on the 7th I have been dancing, so a no-can-do on the blogging and videoing side! But now that I am on my shift hours I will be back on track with this and also Youtube. #firstdayoffin3weekswoohoo!
